Chad W. Beckerman

is a award-winning designer and
creative director he has worked at ABRAMS where he oversaw the design of picture books, novels, graphic novels and art and entertainment books under the Abrams Appleseed, Abrams Books for Young Readers, Amulet Books, and Abrams ComicArts imprints. During this time he helped go from the rare NYT bestseller to scores of NYT bestsellers.

He is the designer behind such successful children series as Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Origami Yoda, NERDS, Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales,
Frank Einstein, The Terrible Two, Peter Reynold’s
I AM books and Bill Nye’s Jack and Geniuses.

Chad has worked with a huge array of artists including, Art Spiegelman, John Hendrix, Jillian Tamaki, Isabelle Arsenault, Bryan Collier, Brian Selznick, Dave McKean, Bill Griffth, Jules Fieffer, Amy June Bates, Jarrett Krosoczka, David Roberts, Dan Santat, Sophie Blackall, Daniel Kirk, Jared Chapman, Mathew Cordell, Cory Godbey, Nikki McClure, Greg Ruth, Eddie Pittman, Ross MacDonald, Charle Santoso, Victo Ngai, Yuko Shimizu, Sterling Hundley, Adam Rex, Cannaday Chapman and Jeff Kinney.

He has been a judge for several illustration competitions such as Society Of Illustrators Annual 53 and 61, Communication Arts Illustration Annual 54 and 59: 2013, American Illustration 32, 2014 SCBWI New York Show Illustration Judge and the New York Book Show 2104

He studied illustration at the
Rhode Island School of Design.
